Welcome to the page specific to the Augusta Chapter of Birth Matters.
Hello Augusta County Birth Matters Chapter!
My name is Megan Diveley and I have volunteered for the position of Chapter Director. It has been a few years since I attended birth circle in Augusta County, however I am hoping to see some familiar faces. While I did help facilitate Harrisonburg Birth Circle for a couple of years, I am hoping you all will help me learn the ropes here in Augusta County!
A little about myself: I became interested in supporting women in pregnancy, birth and postpartum after my third child was born via vba2c at a freestanding birth center. I then became a doula, and have served as a doula for 5 years. I am also a midwifery student and work at Heartland Clinic in Dayton, Virginia as the midwife’s assistant.
I am so excited for this opportunity and am looking forward to meeting new friends and reconnecting with old friends. I hope to offer a safe and welcoming place for all women to come together to share their experiences, ask questions, and feel supported. I also hope to have some special guest speakers, educational events, and film screenings. It is a privilege to volunteer and I welcome suggestions on how I can best serve you!
I look forward to seeing you the FIRST TUESDAY OF THE MONTH from 6pm-8pm.
