Monthly Events: Birth Circle is held on the
last Tuesday of each month
6:45PM – 8:30PM
Hidenwood Presbyterian Church
414 Hiden Blvd.
Newport News, VA

Please join us as we celebrate birth with moms and moms to be, childbirth educators, doulas, and others in the birth community. Our goal at Birth Circle is to provide a safe and sacred space to share birth stories, ask questions, encourage and empower women.

We always welcome new nurslings to stay with their mamas but in order to save space and maintain the sanctity of the circle, we ask that you leave all little ones who are crawling, walking, talking, or anything else that might be distracting at home. We want to make sure the mamas who are sharing their stories don’t have to share the spotlight. We know this can be tricky for some and we appreciate your understanding. We want to respect everyone who comes in to our circle.

**Please bring a snack, treat, dish, or beverage to share.

Below please find the schedule for our monthly topical discussion:

25 September – Comfort Measures: Meet the Doulas.

This month’s topic is comfort measures during labor. Doulas from across Hampton Roads will be at our meeting to help you plan how to handle your labor. Learn ways to find comfort during the challenges of labor from the women who help mothers every day. And this is a great opportunity to meet a variety of doulas if you are gathering your support team or planning to be pregnant soon. After our comfort measures talk, we invite any mothers to share their birth stories as part of our birth circle.(details)
